A Special Message From Lisa Benson, President, PSS

A few weeks ago, Picasso Strategic Solutions became the target of a vicious and hateful attack via an Internet blog posting.

Unfortunately, if you want to insult, hurt or damage someone’s decent reputation, there are web sites where an individual can post anything about anybody…….for the world to read…..without regard to it’s validity.

It is our responsibility to let you our clients, and potential clients, know that the allegations are outright lies.

The coward who posted the comment used a false name and location.

Sadly, we believe we know who posted such a malicious attack on us.  Most likely, it is a fellow colleague who did not obtain a client due to the client signing with Picasso Strategic Solutions.

The inflammatory remarks were rebuked on the site by many outstanding referrals and associates of ours.  We are grateful to them and to the attorney who worked pro bono for us as we maneuvered through this horrific attack on our character, reputation and credentials.

I am proud to announce that Picasso Strategic Solutions, LLC is not only gaining new clients, we are also raising money during this recession for our clients.  We are raising money and growing organizations…..with integrity, vigor and dedication.

Moreover, Picasso Strategic Solutions, LLC recognizes that during these difficult times, nonprofit organizations need strategic advice and we are offering pro bono services to those organizations with limited operating budgets.

We remain committed and dedicated to the nonprofit sector.  My colleague, Jerry Heikens, who was particularly picked over in this attack works with absolutely no compensation managing a Phoenix volunteer group of nearly 600 individuals.

He is a man of highest integrity and I am saddened that he had to experience the malice of one cowardly individual.

I thank you for visiting our web site.  My referral list is one of stellar individuals who will gladly speak on my/our behalf.

Sincerely,

Lisa E. Benson, President.

Compliance - How Important Is It?

A charitable organization is commonly founded by an individual, or individuals who have a passion and strong emotional tie to an urgently needed cause to promote. These founders have a drive to pursue a mission that can make a strong impact on their community, country or world at large. This drive fuels their ambition and one, two or more years later they come to the realization that running a nonprofit organization (NPO) is not as easy as they thought it would be. It is a lot of work and it takes a lot of business savvy in order to effectively run an NPO.

"Bill Gates Has Money. Let's Ask Him!"

There have been multiple occasions where executive directors and

organizations, to write Bill Gates and Oprah Winfrey on their behalf to raise
urgently needed revenue for their nonprofit organizations.

"Back To Basics"

MONDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2008

While the United States government wrangles with issues of auto industry bailouts, I have been holding my breath that nonprofits sector would not be further damaged by the economic downturn. My battle cry has been, "the sky is not falling."  Today, all that changed…
Fox News reports, "Investors struggled Friday to understand how a former Nasdaq stock market chairman could hide losses of at least $50 billion in what he allegedly called "a giant Ponzi scheme." Bernard L. Madoff, 70, was arrested on a securities fraud charges. Stephen A. Weiss, a lawyer for several dozen investors, said, "he personally spoke to 30 investors" who are believed to have invested more than $ 1 million with Mr. Madoff.
